PlateStyler is a UK-based number plate design and supply service operating in full compliance with DVLA regulations and British Standards (BS AU 145e). Our platform allows you to custom-design both road-legal and show plates through our interactive design builder.

3. PlateStyler's Product Range Road-Legal Number Plates

All road-legal plates supplied by PlateStyler are manufactured to British Standard BS AU 145e and comply with DVLA regulations. These plates feature:

  • Mandatory font and spacing as required by law

  • The British Standard Kitemark permanently embossed or printed

  • The supplier's postcode and name as legally required

  • Reflective backgrounds in either white (front) or yellow (rear)

Show Plates (Non-Road Legal)

Our show plates are designed for display purposes only and must not be used on public roads. These feature:

  • Custom fonts and layouts not permitted for road use

  • Colored or patterned backgrounds

  • Decorative borders and graphics

  • "NOT FOR ROAD USE" disclaimer clearly marked

Your Responsibilities:

When using our design studio, you agree to:

  1. Enter accurate vehicle registration details

  2. Provide valid entitlement documentation when required

  3. Not attempt to create illegal number plates for road use

  4. Respect intellectual property rights in our design tools

  5. Save your designs responsibly (we recommend downloading your proofs)
